anodyne mission

(actually, wait to see how Dalton feels)

Father is gone, and Anodyne has gone mad. Deep in the bowels of the mothership Proelfsi, he frets that his brother will remove him, and obsessively calculates his odds of escape. (explain the division of power) (megalos custom made by Gia and irreplaceable)?)
Anodyne Indefatigable

Pathologically opposed to partisanship in the Consortium's internal politics, Anodyne Indefatigable is nevertheless looked to as the highest arbitrator of intra-Consortium justice. Despite being the personal protege of Gia Epta, the founder of the Consortium, they refuse all formal titles and accept no personal favors. Where the founder of the Consortium was famously charismatic, Anodyne is notoriously taciturn, presiding over standardization and procurement arguments with severe neutrality until their verdict is given.

Anodyne will never be loved like their predecessor, but even their critics admit they are no dictator. Theoretically, they could exert a controlling influence over the Consortium through their command of the irreplaceable Proelefsi mothership. In practice, Anodyne is always careful to rotate contracts and leadership positions between all major Consortium sub-corporations, maintaining the fickle balance of power without ever appearing to exert a heavy hand.

Gia Epta may have been the irreplaceable heart of of the Consortium, but Anodyne Indefatigable shaped the squabbling businesses of the Consortium into a fighting coalition. If AdProSec and the Burnt Orange Group agree to share IFF beacons and uniform patterns, and if the notoriously fickle Protectors buckle down and sign a cartel tech sharing argument, that is because of Anodyne's calming influence on the Consortium as a whole.
